OUR FOUNDER

Hello, I'm Pastor Matthew...

I came to America in 1975 to study aeronautical engineering. From 1971 to 1975 when I left Nigeria’s shores, I was engaged in among other things, itinerant gospel evangelism, mainly in Lagos metropolis/megapolis.

From 1982 till 2009, I was in the American labor force. In 2005, after my MBA from Pepperdine University, my wife and I began the process of emigrating from America to Nigeria. It started with prayer to God for guidance and direction on how to reverse the process that brought us to the America in the seventies. In 2009, I took early retirement and headed home to Nigeria. The plan then was to leave my wife and children here in America until I had planted both boots and roots on ground in Nigeria. Thereafter, the rest of the family would follow.

We prayed majorly for opportunity and capacity for my wife and I to add value to our rural communities on our return. Before leaving, we had to set up a system/mechanism for transfer of the prevalent surpluses in the US to heal the perennial scarcities in the rural communities of Nigeria, Kenya and other African countries.

This led to the setup  VOICE OF HIS WORD Ministries VOHWM) as a 501c organization to facilitate resource transfer from America to our Africa mission fields.
